유엔, Stellar(XLM) 기반 디지털 결제 확대 추진!

유엔(UN)이 Stellar(XLM) 블록체인 기반 디지털 결제 시스템을 본격적으로 확대하고 있습니다.

현재 XLM 관련 연구는 17개국에서 진행되고 있으며, 아이티, 시리아, 케냐, 과테말라, 감비아에서는 이미 5개의 실증(Pilot) 프로젝트가 운영 중입니다.

다음 단계는 170개 이상의 UNDP(유엔개발계획) 국가 사무소로 디지털 결제를 확대하는 것입니다.

이는 블록체인 기술이 단순한 암호화폐를 넘어 국제 원조, 금융 포용, 국경 간 송금, 공공 서비스에 실제로 활용되는 사례가 점점 늘어나고 있음을 보여줍니다.

BREAKING | The United Nations Is Expanding Digital Payments on Stellar!

The United Nations is accelerating the expansion of digital payments powered by the Stellar (XLM) blockchain.

Research involving XLM is now underway across 17 countries, with five live pilot programs already operating in Haiti, Syria, Kenya, Guatemala, and Gambia.

The next phase is to bring digital payment capabilities to more than 170 UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) country offices.

This highlights how blockchain technology is evolving beyond cryptocurrency trading into real-world applications such as humanitarian aid, financial inclusion, cross-border payments, and public services.
