Bank of America Strengthens Digital Assets and AI Organization
Bank of America has reshuffled key executives to expand its digital assets and AI strategy in earnest.
The main contents are as follows.
▪️ Sonali Theisen Appointed head of the Global Digital Assets Platform. He will be responsible for the design, development, expansion and governance of the digital asset platform and will lead integration with existing financial infrastructure.
▪️Kevin Milsom Supervises AI Transformation in the global market sector. It is responsible for expanding the application of AI technologies, including generative AI and automation, to the overall work.
In addition, the data analysis organization (AMI) was also integrated into a platform organization and reorganized to operate AI, data, and digital assets under one strategy.
This does not simply mean introducing cryptocurrency, but is interpreted as a strategic move to foster tokenization, digital asset infrastructure, and AI-based financial services as future core businesses.
Recently, major financial institutions on Wall Street have continued to invest in real asset tokenization (RWA), stable coins, digital payments, and blockchain infrastructure.
Bank of America's recent reorganization is also in line with this trend in the global financial sector.
However, this announcement did not include the adoption or support of a specific blockchain or specific cryptocurrency.
The key point is that large global banks view digital assets and tokenization as important pillars of future financial infrastructure and are expanding their organizations and personnel.
